As soon as you know you want to build your dream home or renovate your current dwelling, it is always a great idea to get your interior designer involved as soon as possible. We will want to work with your architect, builder and/or contractor to ensure a cohesive design and the end result is exactly what you envisioned. Not only do we want to focus on documentation, but we also want to make sure that materials, furniture and furnishings arrive in a timely manner in order to meet the deadline.

Each project timeline will be different, depending on the scope of work; however, you can estimate 9-12+ months for a full service design. Do to current supply and demand, projects are taking longer to complete - which is out of our control. Timelines will be discussed at the very beginning in tandem with your architect, builder or contractor.

We like to work hand-in-hand with all parties involved to ensure a smooth and cohesive design. It is our responsibility to meet with contractors and sub-contractors who are involved with the project to review drawings, materials, and other specifications. Please note that we do not hire sub-contractors. All clientele are responsible for hiring out all trades involved in the design process. We are happy to make recommendations per a client’s request.

All custom furniture orders are final after the order is placed and confirmed by the vendor, as manufacturers will not accept any returns on custom orders. In stock furniture items can be cancelled; however, there is a possibility that a restocking fee may be charged. These fees vary by vendor.

The big day! A date and time will be scheduled that works with all parties involved. Installation day is where House and Primrose arrives on site to place furniture and final touches to your space. You can expect white-glove delivery. Install day can be a bit overwhelming at times, but we promise to take care of everything so that you don’t have to lift a finger. Show us where the vacuum is, and we will promise that your new space is in tip-top shape when you arrive home.

We kindly request that our clients not be present during the final installation to allow for House at Primrose adequately finalize your design. We also encourage all pets be put away for their safety. We work as rapidly and strategically as possible so that you are able to get back and enjoy your brand new space.

While working with architects, builders and contractors are great and also essential, interior design offers additional services and acts as another piece of the puzzle. We work alongside architects, builders, contractors and all other parties involved to ensure a cohesive design. While interior designers often pick paint colors and add pillows to your couch, they also provide clients with a set of construction documentation. At House at Primrose, we specialize in space planning, functionality, designing custom millwork, and selecting appropriate finishes and furnishings. We provide our professional expertise from the top down. We are here so that you don’t have to lift a finger.

Whether its organizing what is inside your kitchen cabinets, or the clothes in your closet, we can transform any space in your home. We will suggest storage solutions such as bins, baskets, and closed containers - each labeled accordingly. Once our recommendations are agreed upon, we come back to organize and install.
